Marvel Rising Will Continue With Two New Animated Specials: Including An Ironheart Story

I had the pleasure of doing an early Press Screening last week of Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors and both my 9 year old and 5 year old watched it as well and we all agreed it was AWESOME! If your kids missed it, then they can still catch it streaming on Disney NOW.

Marvel Rising was launched last month with a series of web shorts that led up to Secret Warriors, which officially launched on Sunday. This animated franchise is focusing on a new generation of young Marvel heroes, which include: Ms. Marvel, Ghost-Spider, Quake, Squirrel Girl, America Chavez and more! The series has a very cool Girl-Power feel to it and is targeted towards the Ages of 6 to 12 years old. Tweens will love its coming-of-age story-line and action adventure.

So with Marvel Rising: Secret Warrior’s success, Marvel has now announced two new animated specials: Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts, which is a 22-minute special featuring Ghost-Spider (Dove Cameron) teaming up with the Secret Warriors to defeat the supervillains Sheath and Exile, and in addition to the returning characters in that special, Marvel Rising will also produce Heart of Iron, a one hour special that will introduce Riri Williams (Sofia Wylie) to the Rising family.

Actress Sofia Wylie said, “I feel so honored to be a part of the Marvel family, but more importantly I’m excited to join a cast of diverse, strong intelligent women!” . “I can’t wait for fans to see my character and to see a little of themselves in this powerful young woman.”
