‘A Letter To My Husband’ Written by Michelle Rivera

Dear Mark,

It’s amazing to me that we have been together for 8 years and have now been married for 5 of those years.  Those years have been complex in the most wonderful way.  We have shared a lot of laughter, arguments, joy, and tears throughout this time together.  We have seen each other through our successes and through our most challenging of times.  I know that it is such a cliche to say that you are my best friend, but the reality is that you are.  You do accept me for everything that I am, and lets face it, everything I am is far from perfect, but you love me regardless as if I was.

A lot of times people try to put out an image that they have the perfect marriage when in reality we all know that this simply isn’t true.  There is no such thing as the perfect marriage or the perfect relationship.  Sure there are moments filled with perfection, but the true test to the strength of any marriage is during those times when it’s not.  We have had our share of both and I’m proud to say that we are still going strong.
