Does ‘The Milk Truck’ remind anyone of the good ole days? You know the days that I’m talking about, right? It was the days when homes were delivered their daily glass bottles of milk and everyone knew the milkman’s name. Okay, I admit it these good ole days are even before my time and yet thinking about it makes me long for those simpler days.
Well you can imagine the excitement of one neighborhood in Los Angeles, where the milk truck actually came for a visit and with a positive message too. See the milk truck was actually developed around the popular tradition of drinking a glass of milk before bedtime. As the milk truck made its way through the neighborhood, it played the “Ya es hora de ir a la cama” song in an effort to remind parents to send their kids to bed early with a bedtime story and a glass of milk. I think we still need a milk truck in every neighborhood to remind us of just this. After all, sending your kids to bed early with a glass of milk may help them to be more awake and alert the following morning.
