I was recently in Colorado with my daughter in the snow and she was all bundled up, having fun, sliding down the snow in her snow clothes when her mittens became wet.  They were the only thing on her body that was not waterproof.  I beat myself up for not having snow gloves on her instead of the mittens she was wearing.  She wanted to keep playing in the snow as I worried that her little 3 year old hands would get frost bite if they were not properly covered up, since the mittens she was wearing were wet.

Just recently coming home from this fun and snowy family vacation, I can vividly comprehend how cold this poor little four year old boy must be as I watch this video!  I’m disgusted that any parent would allow such an act of “discipline” or use it as an excuse that it is a “method” to build the little boy’s immunity up, as recently said in an article in Shine.

For me this video is difficult to watch, but what do you all think, is this abuse in your eyes or just extreme parenting?  That seems to be the debate, but I believe it’s a no-brainer, can someone call child protective services please?
