First I hope you don’t mind the silly name I used for myself here as I love to joke around. I myself am not a Christian but I do believe and practice kindness and tolerance as Jesus preached. I love your post. I always believed that when people practice intolerance or hate it actually pulls them away from God instead of towards God. I just hope none of their children turn out to be gay because in families where gay children are not accepted there is a greater likeliness of drug abuse or suicide attempts. You represent Christianity the way Jesus intended it. Hopefully members of that intolerant group will read your post and think maybe they have it all wrong.

So happy to hear a Christian point of view that I can agree with. As for me and my family, we honor ALL paths to God including Christianity. We even honor all people who don’t believe in religious practices but who are centered in love and integrity. I am so grateful that JC Penney took this stand. I couldn’t agree more! I am a married, practicing Catholic, mother of four daughters all of whom I sent to Catholic schools. As one of my daughters says, “My mom is Latin Catholic — they’re the worst kind because they don’t just go to church and give $20 a week. They MEAN it.”

I attended Catholic school as a child and was required to read the entire Bible every year as part of religion class. I don’t recall anything where God hates homosexuals. I *DO* remember a lot about loving thy neighbor, feeding the hungry, and God being a just God. I don’t recall God being obsessed with people’s sex lives.

I am SICK of people like Santorum or these so-called million moms saying they speak for me. I am SICK of people saying Latinos are “socially conservative” whatever that is supposed to mean.
