Mary Poppins Returns is NO REBOOT. It’s a brand new magical story that is practically perfect in every way! I am as excited as my kids, if not more excited, to see this film!
Starring Emily Blunt as the beloved Nanny, Mary Poppins returns 24 years after the first story took place to care for the now grown Banks children, as well as 3 new Banks children!
Fans of the original will be delighted at actor Dick Van Dyke’s return, however in the new version of the film, he will not be reprising his role of Bert. Instead, he’ll be playing Mr. Dawes Jr. who is the son of the banker from the original film.
We also can’t forget the talented Lin-Manuel Miranda of Hamilton as Jack, a Lamplighter and friend to Mary Poppins!
The whole cast is AMAZING with Emily Mortimer (HBO’s The Newsroom) as Jane Banks and Ben Whishaw (the voice of Paddington Bear) as Michael Banks. The cast also includes very special appearances by Legends Angela Lansbury, Meryl Streep and Colin Firth!
